March 15 AA Daily Reflection: Accepting Life on Its Own Terms

AA Daily Reflection: March 15 – Accepting Life on Life’s Terms

“When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing, or situation- some fact of my life – unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment.” – Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 417

Meditation:

Today, let us take a few moments to reflect on the Serenity Prayer:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.

As we meditate on these words, let us remind ourselves that we cannot control everything that happens in our lives, but we can control how we respond to it. Let us seek the courage and wisdom to take action where we can and accept what we cannot change.

Recovery Prayer for March 15

Higher Power, I pray for the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Help me to let go of my need to control everything in my life and to trust in your plan for me. Grant me the courage to take action where I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Help me to find peace in accepting life on life’s terms. Amen.
