March 12 AA Daily Reflection Living in the Present Moment

Daily Reflection:

One of the most challenging aspects of addiction recovery is learning to live in the present moment. As alcoholics and addicts, we spent so much time dwelling on our past mistakes or worrying about the future that we missed out on the beauty of the present. Today, I will make a conscious effort to live in the present moment and appreciate the gifts of sobriety that are right in front of me.

Meditation:

I will take a few moments to sit in stillness and quiet my mind. As thoughts arise, I will acknowledge them and let them go, returning my attention to my breath. As I focus on my breath, I will feel the peace and serenity that comes from living in the present moment.

Recovery Prayer March 12

Higher Power, help me to let go of my past mistakes and future worries. Help me to focus on the present moment and appreciate the gifts of sobriety that are right in front of me. Guide me in my recovery journey and help me to stay grounded in the present. Amen.
